How
to Get There
Boracay
is located northern-western tip of the large island of panay,
AKLAN. The island is about 7 km. long, and
only 1 km. wide at its naroow midriff. The white beach is
5 km. long.
There are three ways to reach Boracay: by
AIR, SEA
or LAND.
By AIR
you have to choose two destinations.
1) Caticlan Airport
: located closest to Boracay Island.
It takes just a 20 minute boat ride from Caticlan Jetty-port
to Boracay.
2) Kalibo Airport : From Kalibo to Caticlan
takes a 1 and half hour bus-ride.
By SEA,
there are several ferries from Manila to Boracay.
Travel time usually takes about 14 hours.
By LAND,
Boracay may be reached through overland transportation
by bus or by private vehicle from Kalibo to Caticlan, and from
Batangas riding RORO - small ferry ships to
Caticlan. It takes about 12 hours. |
